The Range was rebuilt in 2005, as the old range on the site had to make way for changing rooms and facilities for the playing fields on the Howick Domain.
The 3 Rifle Clubs using the Range banded together with the Manukau City Council to raise the funds required to build a new purpose built facility that incorporates the playing field change rooms and the range itself together with a small event room that can be booked separately for private parties. The 6 month project ended up taking 18 months but with the help of the Manukau City Council, ASB Trusts, Lion Foundation and other financial backing we now have a new $1.37 million facility that is safe, secure and pleasant to shoot in.
It is wheelchair friendly which now allows us to cater for shooters that have mobility difficulties.
